Pharma Company Generic Aadhar Launches 111 Franchise Outlets Across India

Founded in 2018 by Arjun Deshpande, Generic Aadhaar is an India-based pharmaceutical company that manufactures and sells generic medicines for the healthcare industry. It provides high-quality medicines at up to 80% discount from manufacturers to end customers.

In a significant move to make high-quality medicines more accessible and affordable, India-based pharmaceutical company, Generic Aadhaar, has launched 111 additional franchise outlets across the country.

This expansion brings the total number of Generic Aadhaar franchise stores to over 2600 nationwide. Further, the expansion underscores Generic Aadhaar’s commitment to its mission of ensuring that every Indian has access to life-saving medicines at prices they can afford.

Besides, the company has produced 111 micro-entrepreneurs and through them generated employment opportunities for hundreds of people. This vision of Generic Aadhaar encourages women's empowerment, makes pharmacists independent micro-entrepreneurs and provides job opportunities for several people.

Reportedly, doctors also come forward to take Generic Aadhaar franchises to serve their patients by providing affordable healthcare. The new outlets are expected to strengthen the company’s presence in the Indian pharmaceutical market.

Going forward, the company has several plans for growth and expansion by spreading its footprint in every nook and corner of the country. In the first phase of 2024, the company will open another 200 outlets in south India, and by the end of 2024, Generic Aadhar will have a presence in all the states and union territories covering all cities and villages.

Moreover, by the end of next year, Tamil Nadu will have over 1,000 Generic Aadhar stores and the same hike will be there in the number of units in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

In a similar development, the Lilavati Hospital ventured into the pharmacy biz and planned to open 500 stores within five years. The Lilavati Pharmacy project is designed to create high-quality, luxurious pharmacies that offer a wide range of medicines, and surgical and medical equipment. Under this project, 500 more pharmacy stores will be launched across the country over the next five years.

Likewise, Apollo Hospitals also planned to strengthen its offline pharmacy network with 500-600 new outlets. This strategic move aims to achieve INR 10,000 Cr revenue by the end of the current fiscal year. Through expanding its pharmacy network and optimising distribution channels, Apollo Hospitals sought to make healthcare more accessible to the Indian populace.
