Fujifilm India Introduces Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound Machine at Fortis Hospital

The installation signifies a significant advancement in diagnostic capabilities for patients with gastrointestinal (GI)-related diseases.

Fujifilm India has unveiled its latest installation of the Aloka Arietta 850 endoscopic ultrasound system (EUS) at Fortis Hospital, Bengaluru.

This state-of-the-art equipment is poised to transform the approach to targeted treatments, offering alternatives to traditional surgical procedures for conditions such as pancreatic pseudocyst drainage and pancreatic cancer treatment.

Speaking about the installation, Dheeraj Chaudhri, head, endoscopy division & endoscopy systems division, Fujifilm India, said, "With crystal-clear ultrasound images and integrated processes for both technicians and patients, our goal is to offer superior medical systems in India and positive contribute to patient care."

What the Aloka Arietta 850 Offers

The Aloka Arietta 850 EUS system aims to revolutionize the diagnosis and treatment of various GI ailments. Equipped with innovative features, the machine enables targeted treatments, such as pancreatic pseudocyst drainage and precise delivery of treatment in pancreatic cancers, without the need for invasive surgery. Moreover, advanced ultrasound machine can accurately manage bleeding in liver cirrhosis within the stomach through endoscopic ultrasound-guided coiling. Additionally, it facilitates the management of jaundice, bile duct drainage, and gallbladder drainage, enhancing the overall efficiency of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Enhancing Healthcare Outcomes

Echoing this sentiment, Dr Ravindra B S, director & HOD of gastroenterology, Fortis Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, highlighted the significance of the advanced endoscopic ultrasound machine in elevating healthcare standards. "The advanced endoscopic ultrasound machine signifies technological progress that will revolutionize healthcare outcomes for the community. It is set to raise the standard of care in gastrointestinal health, facilitating timely and accurate diagnoses crucial in battling cancer and various life-threatening diseases," he stated. The installation signifies a significant advancement in diagnostic capabilities for patients with gastrointestinal (GI)-related diseases.

Fujifilm’s Recent Technological Advancements

In addition to introducing groundbreaking EUS technology, Fujifilm India has been actively involved in initiatives to expand access to healthcare services across India.

Last year, the company launched a breast cancer screening campaign titled "Find It Early, Fight it Early," in collaboration with advanced diagnostic centers equipped with digital mammography technology. This initiative aims to provide cost-free breast cancer diagnosis to over 90,000 women annually, particularly targeting those in urban slums and lower-income communities.

Furthermore, Fujifilm India has expanded its installation base, with 125 AMULET Innovality digital mammography machines deployed nationwide. This strategic move aligns with the company's mission to raise awareness about early breast cancer detection and equip healthcare professionals with advanced technologies for effective care.

Earlier, Fujifilm India introduced the intelligent MRI machine, the Echelon Smart 1.5 Tesla, at Sarvodaya Hospital in Greater Noida West. This MRI machine offers patient-friendly features such as acoustic noise reduction and operator-friendly operations, underscoring the company's commitment to providing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry.

Moreover, Fujifilm India launched 'FUJIFILM Connect,' a mobile app designed to provide healthcare service and support. Koji Wada, MD, Fujifilm India, emphasized the app's significance in enhancing the customer experience and elevating the overall quality of healthcare services in India.

It provides high-end technologies in life sciences to enable scientific activity and entrepreneurship, contributing significantly to the advancement of healthcare and biotechnology in India.
