NHA acknowledges the company's contribution to ABDM's ABHA database

Karkinos Healthcare has been recognized by the National Health Authority (NHA) for its contributions to the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)'s ABHA database. Karkinos Healthcare successfully linked 30,094 health records to the database, which is a key component of the ABDM initiative. The mission aims to establish an integrated digital health infrastructure in India, promoting collaboration and interoperability among public and private stakeholders.

The ABHA address, a 14-digit identifier, plays a crucial role in ensuring secure patient identities that can be trusted by healthcare providers and payers nationwide. Leveraging its Distributed Cancer Care Network (DCCN), Karkinos Healthcare has actively supported ABDM in achieving its digital health objectives. Dr. Basant Garg, Mission Director of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Additional Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, expressed appreciation for Team Karkinos' efforts in building the country's digital health ecosystem.

Dr. R Venkataramanan, Founder and CEO of Karkinos Healthcare, responded to the letter of appreciation, reaffirming the company's commitment to linking health records with the ABHA database and promoting interoperability.

Karkinos Healthcare operates a managed digital oncology platform that offers services such as cancer screening, early detection, and advanced care. This is done through a digitally operated command center. The NHA recognition highlights the significant role private sector entities like Karkinos Healthcare play in India's digital health ecosystem. It also showcases the success of ABDM in fostering collaboration between various stakeholders for healthcare improvement nationwide.

The acknowledgement from the NHA is a testament to Karkinos Healthcare's dedication to supporting the ABDM's goals and contributing to the nation's digital health infrastructure. By linking health records and promoting interoperability, Karkinos Healthcare is playing a vital role in advancing healthcare delivery and patient care in India. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial for realizing the vision of a robust and integrated digital health ecosystem that benefits all citizens.
