According to a statement released by Practo, every medical professional will be required to utilize software services such as Ray, which are ABDM-compliant and will enable them to generate digital health records for patients, in order to be a part of the ABDM ecosystem.

The practice management software Ray from Practo, an integrated healthcare company, is now in compliance with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

According to the company, this will enable all doctors and other healthcare professionals who are currently using Ray to join the ABDM ecosystem and receive all government benefits, including the Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS).

Practo claims that hospitals and clinics can use ABDM-compliant software like Ray to create a QR code that patients can easily scan, self-register without having to wait in a line, and help hospitals and clinics register their practice in ABDM's health facility registry (HFR), a requirement for DHIS benefits. In addition, it will automatically share patient records with other ABDM-compliant clinics or hospitals with consent from patients and assist in creating and linking health records to the patient's ABHA ID.

The National Health Authority (NHA) has likewise recently declared that all health facilities enrolled on health facility registry (HFR) will be qualified for incentive schemes regardless of the number of beds. Additionally, the incentive for a DSC (digital signature certificate) or health facility offering health lockers or teleconsultations has been expanded to include a maximum of five transactions per month and one transaction per day per ABHA address.

'œThe future of healthcare is digital, and with ABDM we are going to witness acceleration in the adoption of digital healthcare. At Practo we are committed to improving the quality of healthcare delivery for all, and the integration of Ray in the ABDM ecosystem is just the first step of the larger role we are going to play in India's journey towards digital healthcare. We are also going to be Unified Health Interface (UHI) compliant soon, which will enable doctors to reach more patients. As the ABDM journey picks up steam you will also see Practo play an active role by introducing products that serve both patients and healthcare professionals and create an impact in healthcare delivery.' '“ Abhinav Lal, Co-founder, Practo.
