The BSV AER mobile app provides a user-friendly platform for efficiently reporting potential adverse events. It simplifies the reporting process, ensuring prompt submission of crucial event details while eliminating the risk of data loss.

Bharat Serums and Vaccines Ltd (BSV) has introduced a communication tool called 'BSV AER.' This mobile-based application has been designed to streamline the reporting of potential adverse events that may occur following the use of BSV's products.

BSV AER is directly linked to BSV's pharmacovigilance system, enabling healthcare professionals (HCPs), consumers, and company personnel to electronically report such events from their smartphones or tablets from anywhere within India, and it is free to users.

The BSV AER mobile application offers a user-friendly and convenient platform for uploading information about potential adverse events. This streamlines the reporting process, ensuring timely submission of crucial event details without the risk of information loss.

This, in turn, facilitates BSV's medical and scientific teams in evaluating reported events and providing prompt responses to HCPs and consumers, ultimately ensuring the effective management of applicable adverse events.

Sanjiv Navangul, MD & CEO of BSV, expressed the significance of robust adverse event reporting tools in the evolving pharmaceutical industry. He said, "Effective communication with HCPs regarding both the beneficial and adverse events experienced by patients under their care is essential. The BSV AER application not only facilitates information dissemination but also enables our commercial teams to collect safety data from HCPs efficiently, thereby establishing a robust pharmacovigilance practice that strengthens patient safety."

While delivering desired therapeutic effects, most medicinal products and medical devices may also have side effects. Pharmacovigilance plays a crucial role in improving patient care and safety concerning the use of medicines and devices. Patient safety remains the highest priority, with continuous monitoring of the benefit-risk profile of medicinal products and medical devices to enhance user safety and quality of life.

BSV AER has been developed by BSV to provide ease and convenience for reporting adverse events, ensuring that reports include identifiable patient and reporter information, details of the suspected medicinal product or medical device, and a description of the adverse event.

Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV), a biopharmaceutical company, was founded in 1971 by Dr Vinod Daftary.
