Delhi-based, Answer Genomics, a data-driven wellness platform, has raised $500K in a Pre-Series A round from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).

Further, these investments will allow Answer Genomics to continue advancing in genomics which aligns with their goal to improve people's well-being through personalised health insights by sequencing 10,000 genomes over the course of the next 12 months.

Answer Genomics utilised advanced technologies such as AI to analyse genetic information and physiological parameters. The startup is currently collecting samples from people with their consent to create a database of genetic information. For this, they take a small amount of blood and analyse more than 5 million data points from it. This helps them give personalised advice for staying healthy.

Moreover, they encompass a wide range of factors including genes, medical history, microbiome, and lifestyle to give you advice on how to be healthy now and in the future. Based on the data collected, Answer Genomics offers advice suggesting food habits, lifestyle choices, supplements, and medications.

Founded in 2018, Answer Genomics is a data-driven precision health startup. The startup was a part of IA's seed-stage accelerator program, the only GAN-partnered, mentorship-driven program in India.

It aims to help people make educated decisions about their health by using the power of multi-omine data to predict the occurrence, spread, and treatment of lifestyle and clinical disorders by assaying genetic markers using their proprietary genomic and machine-learning systems. They probe the genetic code, the microbiome, and physiological measurements to decode elements affecting both physical and mental wellness.

Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) is an early-stage angel investing firm that was started in 2018. IPV aims to drive exponential value creation by being India's most accessible & efficient network connecting a diverse investor community with a carefully curating a set of startups.

Recently, it has participated in a seed funding round for mental health platform LISSUN that secured $1.3 million. The funds were utilised to enhance the company's technology and product offerings, expand its mental health services, and establish partnerships with healthcare institutions and other organisations.

In another significant development, Healthtech startup What's Up Wellness Bagged INR 14.4 Cr funding from Unilever Ventures, making it Unilever's first bet into the health and wellness sector. What's Up Wellness enjoys over 250,000 users in India and further, the startup has plans to launch 12 new products within the upcoming two years.
