The partnership aims to equip medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and the general public with the essential skills through Certified Skill Courses in Emergency Care and Life Support.

MedSim VR, a virtual reality-based medical training player, has collaborated with Karnataka-based JeevaRaksha Trust to conduct comprehensive training programmes, conferences, expert sessions, and international certification programmes.

Recently in an event held in Karnataka, both organisations signed their first-ever partnership which aims to equip medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and the general public with the essential skills through Certified Skill Courses in Emergency Care and Life Support.

Further with collaborative efforts, the organisations seek to drive advancements in emergency care and medical education by harnessing the latest technology.

Sharing his views, Dr Ram K Nair, CEO of JeevaRaksha, said 'JeevaRaksha Trust believes in effective, state-of-the-art, locally made solutions based on technology to facilitate and enhance medical skills training. MediSim VR, which is a Chennai-based company with immense appreciation in Western institutions, is one such organization that provides highly effective learning solutions within the walls of a healthcare professional institution and can be utilized by doctors and nurses so that they minimize making mistakes in the real clinical environment. This will enable high-quality, safe patient care.'

JeevaRaksha Trust, a collaborative initiative between Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, and Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, has been dedicated to revolutionising the response system for medical emergencies. The organisation aims to improve healthcare and save lives by addressing a spectrum of emergencies such as cardiac, respiratory, obstetric, paediatric, trauma, burns, and poisonings.

Earlier, in March, this year, the JeevaRaksha Trust collaborated with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, to launch an initiative called RASTHA (Rapid Response, Assessment, Stabilisation & Safe Transport in Highway Accidents).

The initiative aims to train trauma responders, including police officials, ambulance drivers and citizens living within a 3-km radius of the 26 identified accident hotspots in Karnataka.

Founded in 2018, the Chennai-based company offers virtual reality-based medical training. Its AI-enabled VR/AR training platform is used by over 3,000+ healthcare professionals & students. The platform also has a built-in analytics engine that helps assess the competency of the users. MediSim VR is also a resident company of Johnson & Johnson Innovation Labs, Boston.

Last year, MediSim VR launched India's first VR lab in Puducherry Institute of Medical Science with an aim to assist MBBS students to enhance their key medical skills and train them for the future.
