Sunshine by LISSUN, India's leading mental health platform, has launched its first offline centre for children with developmental and behavioural disorders.

LISSUN, one of India's largest mental health platforms, has made an important announcement regarding the launch of its first offline centre called Sunshine by LISSUN. This new initiative reflects LISSUN's ongoing commitment to addressing the challenges faced by parents and children in finding quality care for developmental and behavioural disorders such as Autism, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy. The inaugural Sunshine Centre has been opened in the lively neighbourhood of East Patel Nagar, New Delhi. The addition of renowned psychologist Dr. Roma Kumar to the LISSUN team further strengthens the platform's expertise in child mental health.

The Sunshine Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including counselling rooms, occupational therapy areas, and assessment zones, providing a seamless experience for parents and children alike. Each Sunshine Centre will have a dedicated team of developmental paediatricians, clinical psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, special educators, and ABA therapists. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that parents and children receive comprehensive expertise tailored to their unique needs.

Mr. Tarun Gupta, Co-founder & Director of LISSUN, expressed concern over the distressing reality that over 50 million children in India are grappling with mental health and developmental or behavioural issues, with a staggering 80-90% not seeking support. He highlighted the inadequacy of the current system in addressing this crisis due to insufficient funding. LISSUN is committed to the well-being of the next generation and aims to bridge the gap between the need for support and the available resources. Through Sunshine, LISSUN strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their emotions, develop resilience, and receive expert guidance.

Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, Co-founder & Director of LISSUN, emphasised the importance of a physical presence when accurately assessing a child's behaviour, acknowledging the limitations of relying solely on a digital model. LISSUN has long recognized the value of a "phygital" approach, combining physical structures with a strong tech backbone. The launch of the first physical Sunshine Centre is another step forward in LISSUN's mission.

Looking ahead, LISSUN has ambitious plans to establish a chain of Sunshine centres across India. In the initial phase, multiple centres will be launched in Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, and the Delhi NCR region. This expansion aims to extend the reach and positive impact of the pioneering Sunshine initiative, ensuring that children in different locations have access to comprehensive mental health support.

Overall, LISSUN's launch of Sunshine centres represents a significant advancement in addressing the mental health and developmental needs of children in India. By combining physical infrastructure with cutting-edge technology and a dedicated team of experts, LISSUN aims to provide holistic care and support to children facing developmental and behavioural disorders, ultimately improving their well-being and future prospects.
