Mykare Health's seed funding will enhance healthcare for India's middle class

Indian digital health startup Mykare Health has secured $2.01 million in seed funding to revolutionize healthcare for the middle class in India. The funding will be used to enhance patient care and expand the team, improving care delivery.

Mykare Health aims to establish India's largest asset-light, affordable, and standardized hospital network, targeting the middle-income population. The seed funding round saw participation from notable investors including OnDeck ODX '“ US, Avaana Seed, Huddle, Endurance Capital, F Health, VeritasX, Stanford Angels, Phoenix Angels, and others.

Co-founder and CEO of Mykare Health, Senu Sam, brings 13 years of healthcare expertise to the company. With first-hand experience of patients' challenges and hospitals, Senu recognized the need for a patient-centric approach. Through market research, Mykare Health identified the struggles of small and medium-sized hospitals in India, leading to underutilization of resources. The company aims to bridge this gap by providing affordable and high-quality healthcare services to the middle-class population.

Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), such as India, account for only 6% of the total surgical procedures conducted worldwide, indicating a significant need for additional surgeries. Mykare Health aims to address surgery fear by offering administrative and pricing transparency, affordable care, and improving the patient-to-hospital ratio. The company plans to serve both the Indian and cross-border population.

Sanil Sachar, Founding Partner of Huddle, expressed confidence in Mykare Health's transformative vision to streamline healthcare infrastructure. He also expressed confidence in its potential impact on the middle-income segment. By prioritizing quality, accessibility, and transparency, Mykare Health aims to make a significant difference in India and globally.

Mykare Health facilitates paperwork management, insurance coordination, and post-care support for patients. The company supports small and medium-sized hospitals by improving visibility and patient footfall. Since its founding in 2021, Mykare Health claims to have impacted over 85,000 patients through its network of 200+ hospital tie-ups across 12+ Indian cities. Senu Sam, the founder, has also been recognized with the Times 40 Under 40 Award.
