'Sara for Healthcare' strives to provide actionable insights and offer informed decision-making support for diverse stakeholders within the healthcare realm. These stakeholders encompass healthcare leaders, clinicians, care coordinators, and contact center representatives.

Innovaccer, a prominent player in healthcare technology, has introduced its latest offering, "Sara for Healthcare."

Named after Saraswati, the Hindu goddess associated with knowledge, this suite of AI tools has a profound goal: to transform healthcare workflows.

'˜Sara for Healthcare' strives to provide actionable insights and offer informed decision-making support for diverse stakeholders within the healthcare realm. These stakeholders encompass healthcare leaders, clinicians, care coordinators, and contact center representatives.

Kanav Hasija, cofounder and chief product officer of Innovaccer, unveiled the suite during the annual online '˜Innovation Keynote' event. As per Hasija, this suite can potentially elevate patient-centered care to new heights by leveraging high-quality AI capabilities at a cost-effective rate.

A noteworthy aspect of this announcement is Innovaccer's emphasis on the suite's healthcare-centric training. The models within the suite have been fine-tuned to understand the nuances of healthcare semantics, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

This focus on specialised training aims to enhance accuracy while mitigating the common pitfalls associated with generative AI while accelerating digital transformation.

Sara for Healthcare includes the following services:

Sara for Insights: This module offers quick responses to plain-language inquiries, eliminating the necessity to wait for data teams and accelerating information retrieval.

Sara for Care Management: Designed to assist care coordinators, this module aids in documentation and care planning. It has the potential to save up to 10 hours per week for care coordinators, enabling them to engage with a larger patient base.

Sara for Point of Care: Geared towards clinicians, this module alleviates EHR administrative and documentation burdens. Innovaccer estimates potential time savings of over 10 hours per week for clinicians.

Sara for Experience Center: Focusing on contact center agents, this module automates tasks and optimises workflows. It aims to improve call handling time, first-call resolution rates, and patient engagement.

In a further statement, Hasija added, "With Sara for healthcare, we're creating, and promising to continue to invest in, developing proprietary AI technologies that ensure healthcare data quality, with the right data presented in the right setting at the right time." This initiative can reshape decision support and workflow dynamics within the healthcare ecosystem.

The AI assistant, Sara, was unveiled at HIMSS23 in April and seamlessly integrated into Innovaccer's award-winning platform. The platform received recognition as the "Best in KLAS for 2023" in the data and analytics platforms category. This integration facilitates the consolidation of clinical, claims, and other healthcare data from electronic health records and diverse systems.

Sara's capabilities encompass a wide range of functions that hold the potential to alleviate the workload of healthcare providers. These include addressing queries related to health system populations, clinical insights, financial metrics, and operational statistics.

Innovaccer, established in 2012, is a San Francisco-based healthcare technology firm cofounded by Abhinav Shashank, Kanav Hasija, and Sandeep Gupta. With additional corporate offices in India's Noida and Bengaluru, the company delivers population health management and pay-for-performance solutions to diverse healthcare providers, including hospitals, physician practices, and health systems.
