PillUp's end-to-end tracking IP called PillUP Sure asserts its utilisation of technology to ensure the genuineness of medications and enhance medication adherence among its customers.

In a stride towards safeguarding public health and enhancing safety, PillUp, an e-pharmacy platform in India, has taken up the challenge against the rampant issue of counterfeit medicines. Through its end-to-end tracking IP named PillUP Sure, the platform is pioneering an innovative solution to tackle this pressing challenge.

Amidst the alarming surge of counterfeit drugs infiltrating the market, PillUP Sure has claimed to be a beacon of hope, harnessing technology to uphold medication authenticity and augment medication adherence for its clientele.

Counterfeit medications have long plagued India's pharmaceutical landscape, posing severe threats to patient well-being and casting a shadow over the nation's pharmaceutical sector's credibility.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 10% of the global drug supply is counterfeit, and India is not untouched by this crisis.

Fake drugs bear the potential to result in treatment failure, exacerbation of illnesses, and even tragic fatalities. This has catalysed an urgent demand for effective strategies to curtail the distribution of fraudulent medicines.

Akanksha, the CEO of PillUp, underscored the company's resolute commitment to eradicating the scourge of fake medicines. "At PillUp, we firmly believe that technology must not only augment convenience but also place paramount importance on safety and well-being. Our comprehensive tracking IP stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to quality healthcare. We take immense pride in leading the charge against counterfeit medicines in India."

PillUp enjoys the support of Shaan Puri from the esteemed My First Million podcast. The platform has amassed a formidable team boasting diverse backgrounds, including expertise from Y Combinator, operational and strategic consultancy, and a seasoned Senior Cardiologist with a rich 19-year history in the field.

PillUp, founded in 2011, operates as a virtual pharmacy, offering a seamless solution for medication delivery. The platform empowers users to effortlessly upload their prescriptions, which are then meticulously organised into user-friendly tearable pouches, complete with specific times and dates for each dose.

These personalised pouches are conveniently dispatched right to the user's doorstep. Additionally, PillUp ensures users stay on track with their medication regimen through app-generated reminders based on their PillUp medicine schedule.

An Indian startup like PillUp, known as Dawaa Dost, is also making strides in ensuring medication authenticity. Established in 2018 and headquartered in Jaipur, Dawaa Dost operates as an omnichannel pharmacy retail chain specialising in generic medicines.

The startup offers consumers the opportunity to make substantial savings of 50 to 80% on premium quality branded medications. Dawaa Dost's mission centres on revolutionising the healthcare journey of Indian consumers through a blend of innovation, advanced technology, scalability, and affordability.

The platform addresses multiple challenges, including enhancing access to high-quality medicines, rendering medications more affordable, disseminating medicine awareness via their concise video platform called Medwiki, and promoting medication adherence through a dedicated mobile application called Karma Dost.
