Under the terms of the new contract, Cloud DX is set to deploy its advanced Connected Health™ RPM platform to address three pivotal healthcare priorities: primary care, home care, and rehabilitation within Prince Edward Island.

Canada-based Cloud DX, a leading provider of virtual care and remote patient monitoring platforms, has inked a new deal with Health PEI, the Provincial Health Authority for Prince Edward Island. This announcement comes as part of Cloud DX's strategic expansion, following the Mohawk Medbuy (MMC) Master Agreement unveiled on June 21, 2023.

Under the terms of the new contract, Cloud DX is set to deploy its advanced Connected Health™ RPM platform to address three pivotal healthcare priorities: primary care, home care, and rehabilitation within Prince Edward Island.

This marks the second contract confirmed through MMC, further solidifying Cloud DX's position as the exclusive vendor for remote patient monitoring services under four provincial-level agreements. Previous collaborations include Alberta Health Services, Alberta Primary Care Network (PCN), Yukon Health, and now, Health PEI.

The three-year contract, with provisions for up to two extensions of two years each, carries an impressive overall value of $1,340,000 CAD. This underscores Cloud DX's dedication to advancing healthcare solutions and fostering innovation across the nation.

In a strategic move, Cloud DX Connected Health RPM will replace a previous vendor, heralding improved care for up to 300 new patients annually. The estimated cost for delivering the Connected Health Kits and remote care monitoring services over the contract's full term is approximately $295,000 CAD.

Andrew MacDougall, executive director, Community Health and Seniors Care, Health PEI, emphasised the user-friendly features of the Cloud DX Connected Health platform.

He praised its intuitive nature and highlighted specific features that differentiate the solution, including Cloud DX's robust support for ease of deployment, patient onboarding, compliance with care instructions, and patient technical support. MacDougall anticipates that these services will significantly enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery throughout the province.

Cloud DX, CEO and founder, Robert Kaul, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Prince Edward Island to their roster of Provincial & Territorial Health Authority customers.

Kaul highlighted the potential of the award-winning Connected Health RPM platform to improve health outcomes and reduce costs for an entire Province. He noted that Cloud DX's commitment aligns with the evolving landscape of Canadian healthcare, positioning the country as a global leader in 21st-century healthcare delivery.

Canada-based Cloud DX offers remote patient monitoring hardware, software, and recurring revenue services. Their Connected Health™ remote patient monitoring platform is widely utilised across North America, empowering healthcare enterprises and care teams to manage chronic diseases, enable ageing in place, and deliver hospital-quality post-surgical care at home.

Health PEI, on the other hand, is responsible for publicly funded health services in Prince Edward Island. It operates hospitals, health centres, long-term care nursing facilities, and community-based programs. The organisation is dedicated to providing safe, quality, person-centred care, ensuring access to appropriate care in the right setting, and optimising resources for a sustainable healthcare system.
