The Healthcare Directory aims to facilitate collaboration in India's healthcare sector by acting as a central hub for various stakeholders, such as hospitals, diagnostic centres, medical device firms, healthtech startups, healthcare professionals, and administrators.

The Confederation of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) has unveiled 'Healthcare Directory,' recently. This online platform promises to bring transformation to the healthcare landscape in India by facilitating connectivity among healthcare startups and practitioners.

The primary objective of the Healthcare Directory is to support collaboration within India's healthcare ecosystem by serving as a centralised platform for diverse stakeholders, including hospitals, diagnostic centres, medical device companies, healthtech startups, doctors, nurses, paramedics, and healthcare administrators.

CAHO, representing over 500 hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare organisations, is at the forefront of this latest venture. The digital platform is designed to enable both CAHO members and non-members to explore cutting-edge solutions.

As per CAHO, startups will be empowered to establish connections with medical practitioners and healthcare institutions for piloting their new projects and innovations, ultimately enhancing their visibility and the prospects for collaboration with healthcare providers.

The directory's comprehensive listings will include not only hospitals but also companies specialising in medical devices and healthtech solutions, as well as providers of wellness and fitness services.

This inclusion is expected to amplify the visibility of these entities and foster networking opportunities. Moreover, the Healthcare Directory is a free resource, accessible to all, irrespective of CAHO membership status.

CAHO, a non-profit organisation founded in 2013, is dedicated to advancing quality and patient safety initiatives within the Indian healthcare landscape. They aim to achieve this mission through a range of focused events, courses, workshops, and training programs geared towards implementing quality and patient safety measures.

CAHO's Healthcare Directory's goal is to leap forward in the quest to foster innovation and collaboration within the Indian healthcare sector. It promises to be a catalyst for transformative partnerships and a boon for healthcare startups looking to make a real impact.

In another development, CAHO and the Patient for Patient Safety Foundation (PFPSF) recently joined forces to prioritise patient engagement in healthcare. By developing Patient Advisory Councils (PACs) and Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs), they aim to enhance patient safety and satisfaction by involving patients in decision-making.

CAHO will release a comprehensive guide to establish PACs, fostering a collaborative environment. On the other hand, PFPSF empowers patients and healthcare stakeholders to share insights for reducing harm and promoting patient safety.
