With the launch of CIE tool, Apollo Hospitals successfully enters healthcare products business.

The Clinical Intelligence Engine (CIE) tool has been launched by Apollo Hospitals, one of the largest healthcare providers in Asia, to assist qualified, practicing Indian doctors in primary care, condition management, home care, and wellness. Apollo's CIE is an AI and machine learning (ML)-based clinical decision support system (CDSS) tool. It makes it possible for people working in healthcare to find patterns in a large amount of data. Apollo's CIE CDSS tool has undergone the necessary tests and validation by global academic institutions. It was developed by over 100 engineers and maintained by an internal team of over 500 Apollo doctors and specialists.

Over 1,300 health conditions and 800 symptoms are included in the Apollo's CIE CDSS tool which covers almost 95% of everyday case mix in OPDs. The tool, which was created specifically for the South Asian region mix, supports differential diagnosis situations and enables physicians to be prompter and more precise for improved clinical outcomes. As indicated by Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Director of Apollo Hospitals Group, the CIE CDSS instrument is a distinct advantage that will revolutionize medical care by assisting specialists with making ideal and precise diagnosis, free of geological, regional, or income differentiation.

According to Ms. Sangita Reddy, the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group, the CIE CDSS tool has significantly improved the diagnosis outcomes of over 4,000 Apollo doctors because it is now a regular part of their OPD procedures. By providing organizations with safe, clinically validated health interactions via the Symptom Checker, the CIE tool also assists organizations in meeting the multi-channel demand for access. The CIE tool is a self-learning engine that aids medical professionals in staying up to date on the most recent developments in the field. As a direct result of the publication of clinical papers, the CIE tool has taken into account more than 600,000 brand-new developments alone. The company's omni-channel digital arm, Apollo 24|7, envisions combining advanced technology, research, and analytics to make healthcare accessible to all. Since February 6, 2023, the CIE CDSS tool is available in Apollo Hospitals as well as for wider use.
